This week we start a new series exploring the meaning of the Kingdom of God, by listening to some of Jesus’ parables.
If there’s one central theme shaping Jesus’ teaching, it’s the Kingdom. But how many of us understand what Jesus meant by that word? Christians love talking about ‘Kingdom ministry’, ‘Kingdom theology’ or ‘extending the Kingdom’, but they often seem to be talking about different things. In this first part of the series, Bill Drewett suggests that Jesus’ parable of the sower in Matthew 13 offers the key, not just to understanding the Kingdom, but also to seeing its fruit in our lives.
