God can help us make good choices
Do you ever find it difficult to make a good choice especially if you feel angry or upset? This week we can look at the example of David who put his trust in God to help him make a difficult decision. Although David had the chance to harm king Saul, he knew this wouldn’t be the right choice so instead he put his trust in God and spared Saul’s life. Even though David’s life had been in danger he knew that God would protect him. Let’s remember this week to ask God to help us when we are finding it hard to make a good choice.
“My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
1. Cut out the sword template
2. Cover the blade with tin foil
3. Decorate the handle of your sword
4. Write the memory verse for this week (Psalm 121:2 “My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth”) on a piece of paper and stick it onto the blade of the sword.
Thank you for helping us make good choices, just like you helped David make good choices. Help us to be kind and to think about others. Lord, when we get cross, help us to think calm thoughts. Thank you that we can ask you for help when we need it. Amen.
