Loving and serving those in need . . .
At Bristol Vineyard we want to focus outwards as well as upwards (to God), and inwards (our church family). People in our community serve those in need in many ways, but here are some projects that we’re committed to.
The Wild Goose
The Wild Goose drop-in centre provides free hot meals, shower facilities, clothing and toiletries four days a week and an evening meal six nights a week for those in extreme poverty and need. A Bristol Vineyard team regularly helps provide the evening meal. For more information on the Wild Goose, have a look here.
Healing on the Streets
A team from Bristol Vineyard offers a drop-in prayer opportunity once a fortnight on the Gloucester Road, the main shopping street leading north from Bristol city centre.
Tea Party for the Elderly
Once a month we host an afternoon tea party for the elderly. This provides an opportunity for those who may be lonely and isolated, to experience love and community.
These are just some of the ways in which we serve those in need. Please contact the church office to find out more.
