In response to an increased need in our city, due to the Covid19 pandemic, Bristol Vineyard have joined with Severn Vineyard to set up a Pop-Up Foodbank to arrange, sort and deliver emergency food parcels to vulnerable people within Bristol. Along with CAP and city leaders we have identified areas not currently served by a Food Bank and we are trying to meet the need in these areas specifically. We are currently delivering food boxes in the BS4, Knowle West and Filwood area.
The Pop-Up Food Bank runs out of The Power House, 88 Feeder Road, Bristol BS2 0TH and is a great opportunity to help people and be a blessing to the community.
“My time helping at the foodbank will be a lasting memory of lockdown. I loved the opportunity to be practically involved and to be even just a tiny part of an amazing team who provide emergency food for people in crisis. It was a surprisingly simple way to show love to others and a fun and welcoming place to be!” - A volunteer
Christmas giving @BS4 foodbank
As we did last year, we would love to help those people who have connected with our BS4 foodbank to celebrate Christmas with special hampers and, for families, Argos vouchers so they can buy their children a present.
If you would like to be involved then please donate money for Argos vouchers by clicking on this link, which will take you to a donation page that is managed by the Severn Vineyard Team and/or you can bring along anything from the list below to Fairfield on Sun 21st, Sun 28th Nov and Sun 12th Dec:
- Christmas chocolates/selection boxes
- Christmas pudding
- Christmas cake
- Mince pies
- Tinned Ham/chicken
- Gravy granules
- Tinned custard
- Washing up liquid
ASDA Bedminster will be donating money to three charities next month - one will be to help make our Bristol and Severn Vineyard BS4 food bank outlet more permanent! Please vote for Severn Vineyard and remember, you can cast a new vote every week!
The amount we get will depend on how many people click to vote for us here.
