Community

We value being a community that together demonstrates, embodies and advances the reality of the Kingdom of God.

We value being a community that is overtly inclusive, inviting everyone to participate whatever their background or stage of life.  We believe that many people will want to belong to our community before they accept all that it stands for.

We value being a learning community: while we do not have all the answers, we are on a journey together and we will continue to learn what it means to be followers of Jesus.

We value a life together that is full of joy, fun and laughter.

We value being a community
that supports one another through difficult times.

We value a life together that is based on honesty, integrity and authenticity.  This means that we will emphasise learning and applying God’s truth to our own lives and learning how to speak truth to one another in an attitude of love and mercy.

We value a life together full of generosity: generosity of time, energy and resources.

We value lives of consistent hospitality.

We value being a praying community: expressing our dependence on God and not our own skills or abilities.  We believe that God directs, leads and works in our midst as our ultimate spiritual guide and director.

We value demonstrating Jesus’ love to those who are in need in a practical and relational way.

We are committed to including within our community those who are on the margins of society.

We value being a community that loves - and devotes a large share of its time, energy and money to serve the needs of - children and youth.

We value affirming, training and releasing all women, men, youth and children to be the people, and do the things, that God has made them for.

We value small groups within the wider community as places where we can develop authentic relationships, share our lives and encourage one another to grow as followers of Jesus
